Do you use Microsoft's list-making app Wunderlist? In the not too distant future, you'll need to find a replacement. But not to worry: Microsoft already has one.
Redmond on Wednesday introduced To-Do, a new "intelligent task management app that makes it easy to plan your day." Microsoft plans to incorporate the best features of Wunderlist into To-Do over the coming months.
"Once we are confident that we have incorporated the best of Wunderlist into To-Do, we will retire Wunderlist," Microsoft's Ori Artman wrote in a blog post.
Built by the team behind Wunderlist, To-Do lets you create lists of all the things you need to get done in a given day and check off what you accomplished. The app also has a Suggestions feature that looks at all your to dos (including items from previous days you didn't get done) and "intelligently prioritizes the most important ones," Microsoft said.
You can create lists for whatever you need — groceries, work stuff, and home projects, for instance — and personalize them with colorful themes. The app also lets you add notes, reminders, and due dates to help you stay on top of deadlines.
"Every morning, your My Day list starts out with a clean slate, allowing you to be more intentional about what you want to get done," Artman wrote. "You can also tap Intelligent Suggestions for ideas on what's most important. Just tap the lightbulb, and you'll see any to-dos from the day before, what's due or upcoming, and other helpful suggestions based on To-Do's smart algorithm."

To Do is available in preview on iPhone, Android, Windows and the web. IT pros can enable the To-Do preview via the Office 365 admin center. Right now you can't share To-Do lists, but that feature is coming, along with apps for Mac, iPad, and Android tablets and integrations with other Microsoft services.
