Microsoft reportedly plans to open an ebook store in Windows 10.

According to MSPoweruser, which snuck a peek at an international platform build, the new digital shop will be available to desktop and mobile users.

Readers can simply visit the dedicated section to buy books "from a range of different publishers and authors," the tech blog said.

Based on published screenshot (pictured) of the alleged new feature, it appears Redmond will integrate its new store alongside those for apps, games, music, and movies/TV. Folks can browse through new books, staff picks, and featured stories (like film and television tie-ins Hidden Figures and A Series of Unfortunate Events).

Click an interesting title to see a description, ebook availability (PC and/or mobile), and additional information (seller name, publisher, imprint). Click the blue "Buy" button to make a purchase, and navigate to "My books" for access to saved documents.

Books are also available to read in the Microsoft Edge browser, which supports the ePub file standard and will reportedly add a book category in Windows 10.

The bookshop, MSPoweruser said, is scheduled to arrive this spring, alongside the Windows 10 Creators Update, which promises new tools for creating, working with, and sharing 3D content.
