In the market for a new smartphone? Verizon has a deal you might want to check out.

The carrier on Thursday announced its "most aggressive offer ever" just in time for the holidays: free smartphones. Starting this Friday, for a "limited time," you can trade in an eligible phone and get a new device for free. That includes the iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, Google Pixel or Pixel XL, Moto Z Droid or Force Droid, Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, and the LG V20.

Basically, Verizon will give you up to $792 in trade-in/promo credits, applied to your bill over 24 months, on one of the aforementioned handsets when you relinquish an eligible phone listed below. The credit will start within two to three billing cycles and ends when the phone is all paid up or you terminate/transfer the line. For instance, if you trade something in for a Galaxy S7 Edge, which would normally set you back $33 a month, a $33 credit will be applied to your bill each month, making the device essentially free.

Verizon notes that your trade-in phone "must be in good, working and cosmetic condition."

Eligible trade-ins for a free iPhone 7, Pixel, Moto Z Droid or Galaxy S7 include: the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6s, or 6s Plus; Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, or Note 5; LG G5 or V10; Motorola Turbo 2; and HTC 10. If you have your eye on the iPhone 7 Plus, Pixel XL, Force Droid, Galaxy S7 Edge, or LG V20, you'll need to trade in an iPhone 7 Plus or Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to get your new handset for free.

Meanwhile, if you don't have a phone to trade in, or just don't want to let go of your old handset, you can get the Google Pixel, Moto Z Droid, or iPhone 7 for $10 a month with no trade-in and no money down. Verizon is also offering $200 off any iPad with a two-year contract or $250 off an iPad when you purchase an iPhone.
