The wait is finally over. CES has officially begun and how? As expected, we surely see certain advancement in technology like higher pixels, better resolution, sharper features and that's really why CES is what it is. But, that's not all. If something has caught our attention this time, they are these cute little AI machines: the Robots. Although we've seen a couple of them in 2016, this year they've come with an intention to change the world along with our homes.

As anticipated, many brands have showcased their Robots this year at CES. Well, each has their functionality, but amusingly they all look similar. On asking the makers, their reply was logical stating that "Robots for homes are made to serve as companions, therefore should match with the décor (that explains their white color) and fit between the spaces (describing their small body size)." All in all, we have over a dozen of them to choose from segregated based on two criteria's: Home and Outside World.

Robots for Smart Homes

1.Mayfield Robotics Kuri – The Kuri robot nanny acts as a companion while keeping a check on your home. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1080p camera, facial recognition, with R2 sound and well-designed wheels to traverse any interior flooring. You are immediately alerted if any suspicious activity happens at home.

2.LG Hub Robot – LG hub robot connects all your LG appliances around the house and enables it to function in a centrally-monitored manner. It depends on Alexa for activities like playing music, free movie streaming and reporting about the extreme weather, etc. Although it isn't a perfect device yet, it works well as an intelligent home assistant.

3.LG's Lawn Mowing Robot – If you're worried about untidy lawns, you immediately need this robotic lawn mower from LG. Its appearance is often mistaken as a robot vacuum, but it is comparatively larger in size and possesses sensors to track the yard and does a decent job in keeping it tidy.

4.Neato Botvac – This robot is an instruction driven one and with its new feature of connecting both of you with FB messenger, you may get cleaner floors (vacuuming) with much required 'help' and 'support' when and where needed.

5.Black & Decker's Smartech Robot Vac – This robot vac isn't any better from its competitors only that it's cheaper.

6.Ubtech Lynx – Lynx robot from Ubtech has become mobile with Alexa. It was always a good smart home assistant. Well, now it has got arms and legs and therefore a better way to find you.

7.Ewaybot MoRo – If it hadn't been priced this heftily, MoRo would have fulfilled the dream of a Robot Butler. It is capable of moving indoors and outdoors conducting certain tasks, handling objects while listening to voice commands as a result aiming at simplifying your life.

8.Emotech Olly – With an intention to bridge the gap between smart home hubs and smart home robots, Olly through deep learning knows how to interact and respond to you while also controlling your connected devices.

9.Laundroid – It can be a brilliant robot to fold your clothes as well as arrange them as instructed.

Building a Better World
1.Lego Boost – If someone told you that now your Lego constructions can speak or walk, will you believe it? With Lego Boost, the answer is yes. Lego Boost is now going to turn all the Lego toys into Programmable robots that can function on their own. It is specially designed to educate and entertain kids of age seven years and above.

2.Leka – The Leka is a smart toy for learning disabled children. This interactive robot helps kids understanding social and visual cues better. It also has inbuilt games that are designed to improve their social skills while having fun.

3.LG Airport – This is a robotic helper that acts as a guide for travelers in airports.

4.Aristotle By Nabi – Aristotle is a voice assisting (by Alexa) baby monitor, that interacts with you at the same time update you with all the baby's requirements.

5.Pepper in the US – Being the poster child of Robotics, Pepper has been famous as 'internet of things' device by adjusting itself in locations as required. In malls, it appears as gaming bot while it can be figured to do something relevant if placed at home.

If you think you've seen and known enough about robots, wait till CES 2018 to surprise your further.
