Twitter made a big deal of its Moments feature last year, giving it a prominent spot between Notifications and Messages in its mobile app. Now, the microblogging service is hiding Moments away inside a new Explore tab.

Announced Thursday, the new Explore section will be a one-stop shop where you can find trends, Moments, search, and "the best of live video," Twitter Product Designer Angela Lam wrote in a blog post. Explore started rolling out yesterday on Twitter for iOS and will be added to the Android app in the coming weeks.

"Until today, you had to go to a few different places to find each of these experiences," Lam wrote. "As part of our continued efforts to make it easier to see what's happening, we're bringing all these together."

Explore is located to the right of the Home button, where Notifications used to be. Notifications has moved to the middle of the bottom rail. That change is mixing a lot of people up, as you can see in the tweets below.

When you visit the new Explore section, you'll see a video at the top of the feed, followed by a list of trending topics. Below that will be a list of "Today's Moments." The search bar is located at the top of this section.

Lam said that Twitter over the past year has been looking into different ways to make it easier for people to find and use trends, Moments, and search. This change should make it easier to find news, see what's trending, and what's popular at that moment, she added.

"Nothing is going away — we're just making it easier to find what you want," Lam wrote.

The change will likely take some time getting used to. Some users aren't too thrilled with it:
