Heads up, AT&T customers: If you're not married to your current carrier, T-Mobile has a new promotion that might make you want to switch.

The self-proclaimed "un-carrier" is now giving AT&T Wireless customers a free year of DirecTV Now for making the jump to T-Mobile. To take advantage of this promotion, AT&T customers will need to activate two lines and bring their number to T-Mobile One.

As a thank you, T-Mobile will give you a $35 monthly bill credit for 12 months, up to $420 total, as long as the lines remain active. That's the same price you'll pay for a subscription for DirectTV Now, so if you want to try AT&T's standalone streaming service, you can essentially do so for free. Or, you can skip DirecTV Now and just get that $35 T-Mobile bill credit.

T-Mobile has also added DirecTV to its Binge On perk, meaning you can stream video from the service without eating into your data. AT&T also exempts DirectTV streaming from mobile data caps.

"AT&T wants you to think DirecTV is theirs exclusively, but that's a load of crap," T-Mobile's trash talking President and CEO John Legere said in a statement. "Both DirecTV Now and the DirecTV apps stream free on T-Mobile with a faster, more advanced network that covers nearly every American. AT&T is so distracted by their new businesses and DirecTV that they continue to ignore their 110 million wireless customers. Luckily, the Un-carrier's here to show them how to actually take care of customers!"

Meanwhile, if you're in the market for a new smartphone, Verizon has a deal you might want to check out. The carrier on Thursday announced its "most aggressive offer ever" just in time for the holidays: free smartphones.
