Ever wondered how easy it is to drift apart from your loved ones? Friends and family are a good example – we get so stuck in our daily lives that we end up having no time left to hang out with them. Technology also plays a role here, because it also entangles us into wasting a whole lot of time.

But what if technology could give us a hand in the exact opposite way, i.e., help us spend more time with our loved ones? That is exactly what the DieHappy, a new personal social media app, does. In our over scheduled world, it is important to have a tool that is focused around our most important relationships, in order to keep them alive.

DieHappy is a one of a kind app that combines the ability to make plans with friends and family and share group photos privately, while also serving as a place to share and maintain everything you need to keep up with the people that matter most to you. This app works in three ways:

  1. It allows users to arrange plans with their closest people, by creating date pools that sync with the users' calendars.
  2. After the meeting happens, any photos taken there can be uploaded and shared in a closed group, comprised of the people that attended, and liked or commented.
  3. After participating in several meetings, each user will get a timeline with all the important moments, which also features reminders for special dates and wishlists of a loved one. Users can also create their personal "bucket lists" and other plans inside the app.

Shawn Boyer, CEO of DieHappy, explained how such an app can impact our life in order to be closer to the people we love:

"It is easy to get consumed with the daily grind, and all too often, we are not as intentional about doing the things that make us most happy like making the time to spend with the people who mean the most to us. DieHappy encourages people to be as intentional about spending time on our most important relationships as we are with setting goals at work - not only by sharing moments, but also planning the moments that will become treasured memories.

We talk about getting our friends back together for a dinner, having recurring date nights with our spouse or kids, but too frequently it is just talk. DieHappy helps people strengthen those relationships, ultimately contributing to a happier life."

DieHappy stands apart other social networks because it focuses exclusively on users and their close and loved ones, and encourages for them to meet periodically with those people. This app takes socialization and the nurturing of relationships into high regard, something that other social networks lack.

For the moment, DieHappy is only available on iOS, with the Android version coming soon. The app's looks and usability are among its strongest points. It features a really appealing design that quickly catches the eye, and is really easy to use and get used to.

During the Beta period, DieHappy had around 2,000 users and 50,000 photos and plans shared in it. Now that it is being officially launched, DieHappy is ready to show that it is possible to get the best out of the two worlds and balance our personal relationships with our full daily lives.
