If you've ever used Vine, and care about the content you created on the platform, you better save it today. Otherwise, it will be gone forever.

Twitter in October announced plans to discontinue the Vine mobile app. The last day to save your Vines is today, after which they will become Vine Camera, a stripped-down version of the service, which lets you create six-second looping videos that you can post directly to Twitter or save to your phone.

Saving your Vines is easy, and you have two options.

Option 1: Head over to Vine.co, and click the button that says "Download Your Vines." Once you do that and sign in, just click the button that says "Request Your Archive." Clicking that requests a ZIP file of all your Vines, and you'll get an email when your file is ready to download. The download link will only remain active for 72 hours, so be sure to open it right away.

Option 2: Open the Vine app on your phone and click the button that says "save videos." From there, just select the videos you want to keep and they will be saved to your camera roll in an album called "My Vines."

The downside with the second option is that if you have a lot of Vines, they will take up a lot of room on your phone. If you don't have enough space on your phone, you can get an email link with your Vines sent to you. If you don't see the option to save your videos in the Vine app, you probably don't have the most recent version of the app.

Also keep in mind that if you download your Vines from the app, you will only receive your video files with no captions or additional information. If you want your captions and comments, be sure to request your archive from Vine.co. The file you get will include your captions, along with the number of likes, comments, and "revines" you've received.
