There's a growing number of MacBook Pro power users out there looking at the 2016 Touch Bar models and not liking what they see. The next question that comes to mind is, "what's a good alternative?"

Dell's XPS laptop range features high on that list, and a leak suggests Dell is set to cater to those power users looking for a MacBook Pro alternative.

Dell's existing range of XPS 15 laptops include a 4K display option, 6th generation Intel Skylake processors, and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M GPU with 2GB of dedicated memory if desired. They are very capable machines. However, as Windows Central reports, the Dell website accidentally listed a new model referred to as the XPS 15 9650.

The 9650 listing, for the brief time it was allowed to stay up, included options for three different 7th generation quad core Intel Kaby Lake processors carrying the model numbers Core i3-7100HQ, Core i5-7300HQ, and Core i7-7700HQ respectively.

They will certainly offer a performance boost, but the news gets even better for power users. Dell is also replacing the GTX 960M 2GB GPU with a new GTX 1050 GPU complete with 4GB of dedicated memory. Combined with up to 32GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, you've got a mobile powerhouse to make any MacBook Pro owner jealous.

The final additional new feature is the option of a fingerprint reader (and Windows Hello support) for added security. And if you're spending the cash to get the quad-core Kaby Lake chip and a GTX 1050 GPU, you'll likely want as much protection as possible built-in.

With the listing being pulled it's unclear when Dell will launch the 9650 and how much it costs. However, the fact this listing exists and was added to the site suggests Dell won't keep us waiting much longer.
