Ever wish you could have a separate profile on Hulu from your kids, roommate, or significant other? You know, like you can on Netflix? Now you can.

Starting today, you can add up to six individual profiles per account. Those who watch Hulu on the Web can create their profiles now, and the feature will be rolling out to "the most popular Hulu devices over the next couple of weeks," Hulu's Richard Irving wrote in a blog post.

Each profile will have its own name, personal info, viewing history, recommendations, and Watchlist. Hulu is also adding a Kids profile type, which lets youngsters browse shows and movies without encountering any adult content. You can create, edit, and delete Hulu profiles in the app or online.

"Inevitably, you may not be as enthusiastic about Sci-Fi as your spouse," Irving pointed out. "And it is likely that new episodes of Doc McStuffins are not quite as exciting for you as they are for your children. The next step in creating the most personal TV experience is introducing profiles."

When you go to create a profile, you'll be taken through a "taste picking experience" where you tell Hulu what types of shows and movies you like and dislike.

"This will help us ensure that each profile surfaces recommendations and content that is distinctly personal to each viewer," Irving wrote. "If you tell us you love medical dramas and horror movies, we'll make sure you see those genres of programs in your recommended content."

The new profile feature comes after Hulu last week announced that it now supports 4K streaming. At this point, however, Hulu's selection of 4K content is kind of limited, and you'll need an Xbox One S or PS4 Pro to watch it, not to mention a 4K TV and Internet service that streams at least 13 Mbps.
