LAS VEGAS—If you're attending CES this year and looking for the Fujifilm booth, don't. Fujifilm hasn't been a presence on the show floor in recent years. It's not a huge surprise, CES isn't a camera-centric trade show, and both WPPI and CP+ are just around the corner.

What is surprising is that Fuji is announcing a handful of new products to coincide with the opening of CES. Typically Fujifilm's January announcements come a week or two after CES. It's not a huge slate—one new compact and color variations of its two flagship X mirrorless models—but it's something.

First there's the FinePix XP120, a waterproof point-and-shoot that can go as deep as 65 feet (20 meters), survive drops from 5.7 feet (1.75 meters), and operate in 14-degree F (-10-degree C) temperatures. It sports a 16.4MP image sensor and a 5x (28-140mm) zoom lens. Video quality tops out at 1080p, and the camera has built-in Wi-Fi.

The XP120 is going to sell for $229.95 when it goes on sale in late February. It will be available in a number of colors, including blue, yellow, forest green, and sky blue.

It's joined by the X-Pro2 Graphite Edition, a $2,229.95 special edition of the X-Pro2. It's a high asking price, but it includes the XF 23mm F2 R WR, also finished in Graphite, which normally sells for $449 on its own, so you're only paying about $150 more than the standard X-Pro2 and 23mm f/2.

The X-T2 is also getting a premium finish. The X-T2 Graphite Silver Edition matches the look of the X-T1 Graphite Silver, with a three-layer finish that consists of a matte black undercoat, a thin graphite silver coat, and a clear varnish. It's priced at $1,799.95, $200 more than the standard X-T2 body.

Both special edition X cameras will go on sale in late January.
