Rip CD’s Into Your Favorite Format With Media Jukebox

I have decided that J River’s Media Jukebox is now my music player of choice.  I did an initial review in a previous post.  Now let’s cover the various features included in this application.  Today I will cover how to rip you CD’s into your favorite format.

First pull up the the Action Window and select Rip Disc.  Then click on the Options link.

In the Options window choose Encoding and change the encoder to the format you like the best … mine being FLAC.  Then click OK.

If you do not see your encoder of choice you can download others here.

You can then see the progress of the ripping process in the action Window.

Media Jukebox will go out and download the album cover and track listing information.  Also if you hover over a particular track it will display the encoding information and include the album cover as an icon.

Reopen Closed Tabs in Internet Explorer

If there’s one thing that annoys me in Internet Explorer more than anything else, it’s that there is no way to re-open a tab once you’ve closed it. It’s especially annoying when you’ve done a lot of browsing so you have to sift through your history to find the link for the page you closed.

Copy To the Clipboard From the Windows Command Prompt

Let’s face it, not everybody is an ubergeek, so there are many times that you’ll need to ask somebody for help. They always seem to ask you to type things into the command prompt and then tell them the results… but how do you copy that text to the clipboard so you can email it to them?
