Windows: PomodoroApp combines the effectiveness of Pomodoro-style time management with task tracking and analysis for a well rounded time and task management experience.
The Pomodoro Technique, developed by Fancesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, is a simple but effective time management system. Essentially you select your task, work on it for 25 minutes, take a 5 minute break, reassess your focus, start another 25 minute block, and then after four iterations, you take a 15-20 minute break. There are many, many applications floating around that help you start, stop, and keep track of your Pomodoros, but not so many that combined traditional to-do lists and task management functions with the Pomodoro Technique.
PomodorApp merges the two types of time management. First, it functions as a Pomodoro timer and break minder. Second, you can assign the Pomodoro units to specific tasks and even analyze your projects and tasks after the fact to see how many Pomodoro blocks you used. It rolls the planning, tracking, and post-project analysis all into one application.
PomodoroApp is a Windows-only freemium application. You can download and use the application for free but you’re limited to 100 tasks–should you need to manage and track more than 100 tasks you can unlock the premium version for $39.99.
