A Windows 8 Modern UI optimized version of Firefox just got one big step closer to finalization this week with the release of Aurora Channel version 26. Those who are looking forward to enjoying the full Firefox experience on their Windows 8 systems can download and try out the latest version now.

Mozilla is looking for people eager to try out the latest Modern UI features in this Aurora build to help squash bugs, improve performance, and improve responsiveness as the optimised version gets closer to a stable release. Keep in mind that you will need to set Firefox Aurora 26 as the default browser once you have it installed.
