If you use OneDrive for your cloud storage needs, then you will definitely be pleased with Microsoft’s announcement this week. Free storage and Office 365 accounts have both been given massive increases in size, and prices have also been lowered for paid storage subscribers!
Free accounts have more than doubled in size from the basic 7 GB to a whopping 15 GB, and Office 365 accounts now have 1 TB of storage available. The prices for paid storage have also been lowered by over 70 percent as seen in the quote below:
From the OneDrive blog post: Of course, we also want to give you as much flexibility as possible, so if you need more storage, but don’t need an Office 365 subscription, we will also still provide monthly subscription storage options – at dramatically reduced rates.
The new monthly prices will be $1.99 for 100 GB (previously $7.49) and $3.99 for 200 GB (previously $11.49).
The changes are due to take effect within the next month, but until then, you can view all the details about the updates via the OneDrive blog post linked below.
