Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Pies Hi-C Ecto Cooler Frosted KrustyO's Mountain Dew Pitch Black
Answer: Hi-C Ecto Cooler
If you were a school-age child in the late 1980s there’s a pretty good chance that more than a few of your packed lunches contained a box of Hi-C’s Ecto Cooler. The orange juice-box style drink was developed by Minute Maid in 1987 as a tie-in for the cartoon series The Real Ghostbusters, based off the 1984 live-action hit Ghostbusters.
The drink was so popular in the Hi-C lineup that Minute Maid continued to produce Ecto Coolers long after the 1991 cancellation of the cartoon series the drink had been created to promote.
Although Slimer, the green slimy sidekick from the cartoon, vanished off the boxes in 1997, the actual product name remained until 2001 at which point the orange drink underwent a series of makeovers. First it was renamed to Shoutin’ Orange Tangergreen, then in 2006 it was named to Crazy Citrus Cooler. Finally in 2007, a full 20 years after it was introduced, the ghostly goodness of Ecto Coolers was finally laid to rest.

This past month we covered topics such as why you only have to wipe a disk once to erase it, what RSS is and how you can benefit from using it, how websites are tracking you online, and more. Join us as we look back at the best articles for June.
