On May 30, 2014, U.S ambassador to Switzerland and Lichtenstein, Suzi LeVine, was sworn into her position using a Kindle ebook reader instead of a print copy of the United States Constitution.
Although the first federal employee to be sworn in on a digital device, she’s not the first U.S office holder to do so. Earlier in 2014, New Jersey firefighters and a Nassau County Executive were both sworn in using a copy of the Bible on an iPad.
