During the past few years, a lot of big companies have been hit hard by involuntary and voluntary recalls. Depending on the current condition of the company and the severity of the problem, a massive recall could very well force the business to close its doors. Unfortunately, there is very little a company can do to recover from such a problem. They're forced to accept all returned products and will often replace those items with brand-new replacements. This has happened to Samsung twice within the past month. First and foremost, the company was forced to recall their Galaxy 7 smart phone.

The company is expected to lose millions of dollars, after Galaxy Note 7 phones throughout the world began to catch fire. And, the problem could worse very rapidly. Just today, Samsung was hit with a class-action lawsuit in the country of Canada. If Samsung loses the suit, their losses could increase significantly. And of course, Samsung was also forced to recall some of their washing machines. A recent LA Times report confirmed that the company would recall 34 models of washing machines, after the United States government deemed them to be unsafe.

According to the complaint, the washers become dangerous when they're filled with bulky items. When they're overloaded, the machines vibrate erratically and they may burst. This far, 9 injuries have been reported as being related to these washing machines. The recall will include almost 3 million machines, which were sold from March of 2011 to November of 2016. This is yet another major setback for Samsung. They'll need to work quickly to rectify their reputation and make up for the losses. In order news, Teleflex has been forced to recall their lifesaving drug Naloxone.

Naloxone, which is capable of reversing opioid overdoses, can be administered through a device that is similar to a syringe. Unfortunately, something has gone awry with the syringe and it has been deemed unsafe by the manufacturer. Teleflex set out a letter this letter letting consumers, pharmacies, and doctors know that they would be recalling the product. Since the syringe portion of the medication has become faulty, the medication itself is not delivering in full and is therefore ineffective. As of October 27, there have been six complaints related to the medication, but nobody has been seriously injured. Nonetheless, this will set the company back. They'll need to fix the problem right away.

Another product that is commonly recalled is the hoverboard. These products have received a great deal of criticism during the past few years. Some consumers have complained that the products are unsafe, while others have experienced explosions and fires. One of the major issues that companies face when producing food items is contamination. Companies like Breyers and Blue Bell have been forced to recall specific flavors of ice cream, because it may contain undeclared allergens.

Today, Crescent Vending Company joined the list, recalling various ready-to-eat food items. Individuals that suffer from food allergies face life-threating allergic reactions, if they consume products containing allergens. This makes it even more important to take quick action. The products were distributed to vending machines, operated by the company, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. So far, there have been no reported illnesses noted, according to the company.
