How to Watch Oscar-Nominated Movies Online

The Academy Awards air this Sunday, and if you haven't had the chance to drift off to La La Land and stare at Ryan Gosling from the comfort of a darkened movie theater, you still have a few days to fix that.

If you'd rather stay at home, you can get watch nearly all of this year's nominees by downloading, renting, or streaming them online—sometimes for less than the price of admission at your local theater.

Amazon has a larger stake than usual in Sunday's show since Amazon Studios is behind The Salesman, a nominee for Best Foreign Language Film, as well as Manchester By the Sea, which is up for Best Picture and five other categories. Netflix is up for three awards—Ava Duvernay's 13th for Best Documentary Feature and The White Helmets and Extremis for Best Documentary Short Subject.
