Google is all about making it as easy as possible to get the answers you need. Along those lines, you now may be able to find the information you're looking for via the Google app without having to type anything into the search bar.
The Web giant today added a number of handy shortcuts to its app for Android and iOS and Google.com that surface local dining options, offer easy access to the weather, sports scores, TV listings, and more. To see what's available, just make sure your Google app is updated to the latest version then look for your shortcuts underneath the search box.
"The Google search box is great when you're looking for a specific answer, but there are also moments when you just want to catch up on the latest for topics of interest," Google's Vice President of Product Management Tamar Yehoshua wrote in a blog post. "Need to know whether to bring a raincoat tomorrow? Want the score to last night's basketball game? Looking for what's on TV tonight or who's nominated for best supporting actress? Shortcuts on Google will get you there."
