Microsoft just revealed the list of titles Xbox Live Gold members can get for free in April.
On Xbox One, Live Gold members will be able to download the action-adventure "hack and slash" combat title Ryse: Son of Rome, normally priced at $19.99, for free all month. Then, the graphic adventure game The Walking Dead: Season 2, which would regularly set you back $24.99, will be free to download from April 16 to May 15.
On Xbox 360, the action role-playing game Darksiders, normally $19.99, will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from April 1 through April 15. Then from April 16 through April 30, you'll be able to download the $19.99 action-adventure title Assassin's Creed Revelations. Note that you can play both of these Xbox 360 titles on your Xbox One, thanks to the console's backward-compatibility feature.
For the uninitiated, Games with Gold first launched in the summer of 2013, offering free games every month to those with an Xbox Live Gold subscription (which will set you back $10 a month or $60 annually). Besides the free games, a subscription gets you multiplayer capabilities and some exclusive discounts in Xbox stores.
