From the Apple 1 to the Apple Watch, Cupertino boasts a long history of iconic designs. And now you can own a photo album chronicling 20 years of those concepts.

A new photo book, "Designed by Apple in California," uses images captured by photographer Andrew Zuckerman to illustrate the firm's design process as well as its finished products.

Dedicated to the memory of company co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs, the hardcover volume also documents materials and techniques used by Cupertino's design team.

"The idea of genuinely trying to make something great for humanity was Steve's motivation from the beginning, and it remains both our ideal and our goal as Apple looks to the future," Chief Design Officer Jony Ive said in a statement.

Flip through the 450 photos of iDevices old and new and you'll notice a striking similarity between Andrew Zuckerman's minimalist images and Apple's own sleek manufacturing style.

"This archive is intended to be a gentle gathering of many of the products the team has designed over the years," Ive said. "We hope it brings some understanding to how and why they exist, while serving as a resource for students of all design disciplines."

Available in two sizes—small (10.2 by 12.75 inches for $199) and large (13 by 16.25 inches for $299)—the linen-bound book is on display at the Apple Stores stocking it.

"Designed by Apple in California" hits virtual and brick-and-mortar shelves on Wednesday at select locations in Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, the UK, and the US.
