Since its launch in June 2015, Apple Music has grown into a popular streaming service among Apple aficionados.

At $9.99 per month for an individual account and $14.99 for a family (of up to six people) plan, Apple Music lets you stream more than 30 million songs, check out on-demand curated radio stations with your favorite music, listen to playlists created by music experts, and tune into the 24-7 Beats 1 radio station to hear tunes selected by DJs from around the world.

You can also listen to Apple Music via your Windows PC, Mac, iOS device, or Android device. And you can try the service for free for three months (here's how to stop auto renewal).

That sounds cool, but what if it's not everything you wanted? Perhaps it's too expensive, or you don't listen enough to justify the cost. Maybe another music streaming service stole your heart. Whatever the reason, you want to cancel your membership. Well, you can say goodbye to Apple Music on an iOS device or via iTunes on your PC. Here's how.

Cancel Apple Music Through Your iOS Device

Fire up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Tap on Settings > iTunes & App Store. Tap on your Apple ID and then View Apple ID. At this point, you may be prompted to sign in or use the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to authenticate your account.

Your subscription is no more! Well, not just yet. Your subscription will actually cease to exist at the end of your current billing cycle. So you'll be charged for the full 30-day cycle, and your Apple Music account will still be alive for a bit longer. You can also opt to re-subscribe should you change your mind, but your new subscription will begin at the start of the next billing cycle.

Cancel Apple Music Via iTunes on Your PC

To cancel your subscription via your computer, launch iTunes. Click on the Account menu > View My Account.

Your subscription is now kaput, but with the same scenario described above. Your subscription will stop at the end of your current billing cycle. You're still charged for the full 30 days during which time Apple Music is still accessible. Click on the Done button to close your Apple Music Subscription page and return to your Account Information page. You can now close iTunes.
