DIY Movie Screen Is Lightweight, Inexpensive, and Acoustically Transparent

diy-movie-screen-is-lightweight-inexpensive-and-acoustically-transparent photo 1Shave hundreds off your home theater project bill with this easy to construct, inexpensive, and stylish DIY movie screen.

Courtesy of DIYer and home theater enthusiast Dodge Boy, the screen is a simple design made from 1×3 dimensional lumber and a silver-sheen spandex. While the mounting of his frame is a bit more complex than your average build (he’s putting his screen frame over an alcove in order to use it as an AV niche and a space for his center speaker) you can easily copy the basic design and simply hang it on the wall.

Hit up the link below for his full photo build log to get a closer look at the construction and hanging.
