Few services get to explode onto the market and into the public consciousness like Apple Music. Backed by the Apple marketing juggernaut and millions of existing iTunes users, the service likely has some legs.

An Android app and Apple TV access is coming later this year. The price is $9.99 a month, but you get a three-month trial, so through September, no one is paying for it.

That doesn't make Apple Music flawless in execution. It doesn't have a free, ad-supported option like Spotify, but it does let iOS users listen free to Beats 1 radio and other stations. It does have a great family plan price ($14.99 for six people who share over iCloud); but that won't stand out for long. Not all the tracks for sale in the iTunes Store are available to stream on Apple Music (the big example: The Beatles. There is, however, a great Beatles radio station on Apple Music, it just happens to be all covers, or non/post-Beatles work by John, Paul, George, and Ringo). Apple Music has also got another social network component, Connect, because we all need one of those.

What else about Apple Music can and should be tweaked? It's early days, but we've got a list of 18 tips and tricks here that will help you get the most out of the "revolutionary" service, or at least prevent it getting the better of you.
